 1) John Rushworth, 1. Earl (seit 1925), Viscount (seit 1918) Jellicoe of Scapa [- ɔf 'skæpə], britischer Admiral, * Southampton 5. 12. 1859, ✝ London 20. 11. 1935; im Ersten Weltkrieg 1914-16 Oberbefehlshaber der Großen Flotte (Grand Fleet), die er unter dem Eindruck der deutschen U-Boot- und Minenkriegführung weitgehend zurückhielt; führte die britischen Seestreitkräfte in der Schlacht vor dem Skagerrak (31. 5. / 1. 6. 1916). 1916/17 war er Erster Seelord, 1920-24 Generalgouverneur von Neuseeland.

 2) Patricia Ann, englische Dramatikerin, * Middlesbrough 15. 7. 1927; gehörte mit »The sport of my mad mother« (1958; deutsch »Meine Mutter macht Mist mit mir«) zu den neuen kritischen Autoren der 50er-Jahre; verwendet im Anschluss an A. Artaud auch rituelle und musikalische dramatische Mittel; seit 1978 macht Jellicoe kommunales Theater mit Stücken über die Lokalgeschichte Dorsets.
